Jack gains command of the Xtacles after their former leader, Awesome X, inexplicably leaves Earth on an alien spacecraft with Killface and several of his species. Awesome X's last orders were to wait for more orders. Jack's unerring loyalty to Awesome X leads him to take these orders quite literally and continues flying their high-tech hover ship, the Xcalibur, in a straight path plowing through mountains and anything else that blocks their path. It's not until A.L.E.X. convinces him that a section in the Xtacles charter overturns the orders he's currently following that he stops the destructive b-line and accepts a mission from President Stan. What Jack lacks in common sense and wit, he makes up for in fearlessness and battle skills. However, this generally leads to a 'shoot first, ask questions later' method of handling situations.

A.L.E.X. is a holographic representation of the Xcalibur's main computer system. She takes the appearance of an attractive blonde and has an A. I. that enables her to freely interact with the Xtacles. Much of her time is spent on the usually futile task of trying to reason with Jack's reckless and incompetent decision making.

Chase is the resident party dude of the Xtacles and the one who enlightens the rest with the tradition of Bon Jovi Friday. "When you have Friday off from work and you just f*ck around all day Thursday, you know what that is? That is a Bon Jovi Friday!"

Bigsby appears to be considerably more young and naive than most of the other Xtacles. He seems to have more heart as well, yet equally as incompetent.

Thanks to the Xtacles crashing into his house, Mr Ford is now homeless and living aboard the Xcalibur.

After the loss of Taqu'il in the final episode of Frisky Dingo, Stan, as Vice president, takes office. His reign however is not a very benevolent one. He's tends to be more concerned with monuments dedicated to his self perceived greatness than for the well being of the American people.
