As usual, Val's horrible aim spares Killface's life yet again as well a Xander's. She tries to take another shot and discovers that she's out of ammo. She immediately makes her escape via the rockets on the xtacle pants, which turns out, were sold to her by Simon. Killface is convinced that it is a miracle that he survived and this moves him to find God. Xander, however blames Stan for having to go through the experience in the first place and forces him to stand still as he tosses spoon fulls of yogurt at him. Killface, having just bought a copy of the bible, is astounded by all the great stories it contains, which apparently everyone else has heard already. He also has Wendell install a huge Crucifix in his living room. When Dottie mentions that Killface has to go make an appearance in New Hampshire he immediately shoots the idea down, wanting nothing to do with a state that legalized gay civil unions. Dottie explains the conflict this stance poses due to the fact that he's a democrat, but this does little to sway him and he goes on a spree of public appearances touting the bible, where he manages to alienate all the groups that were crucial to supporting his campaign.
Stan is ecstatic after seeing Killface's latest blunders on the news and explains to Xander that all they have to do is sit back and let Killface destroy himself. Carter Hawkins has Harper Ellis and Grace Ryan on his show again to discuss the fallout of Killface's new religious stances. Kilface joins them as well only to continue digging himself into a deeper hole with his comments. Later Simon confronts Killface for a heart to heart talk and informs him that he is gay suddenly bringing him to a 180 on his stance on homosexuality. After finding out Xander immediately wants to exploit the situation to his advantage. Stan however, stops him in his tracks, making reference to the incident with John Carey's comments about Dick Cheney's daughter. Meanwhile, Killface's acceptance of Simon as being gay has made him find new appreciation for him and feels a closer bond. Dottie tries to convince Killface that he should drop from the race, but he decides to leave that up to Simon. Out on the balcony of his apt, Kilface tells his team that Simon still wants him to run and just as he is renouncing Christianity an rpg penitrates and lodges in his chest.

Grace: It's just that you're kinda creeping me out right now.
Xander: Damn it, I have to finish this!
Grace: But it's going to be like Fred Dryer is staring at us while we have sex.
Xander: Exactly.
