Archer premiered Thursday night on Fiver in the UK and it's off to a great start. According to Guardian.co.uk:

"Archer started on Fiver with 159,000 viewers for each of its half-hour instalments at 10pm and 10.30pm, shares of 0.8% and 1% respectively, with another 5,000 an hour later on Fiver +1. Archer helped Fiver to its best ever daily share among 16 to 34-year-olds."

Next the show will heading Down Under. On March 7th it will be premiering in Australia on the channel FOX 8.

Alas, the new site layout... kinda. This is actually a temporary layout. With the holidays and such, I wont be able to get all that I want done by Jan for the Archer premiere so I threw this together for the time being. As you can see, the site will now be covering all of the 70-30/Floyd County shows with the main focus on Archer due to the untimely demise of our beloved Frisky Dingo. Not to worry though, Archer seems every bit a worthy successor, and all the Dingo content is still here.

The final version of the site will have a cool new look with some nice new features like skins for all the 70-30/Floyd County Productions showsand more. There will also be content for Sealab eventually.

Everyone get psyched, Archer is just a month and 1/2 away!

We'd talked previously on the forum about the possibility of the first season getting an additional 4 episodes. Well, It's a sure thing now. FX gave them the go on 10 episodes. So we have more awesomeness to look forward to next year.

So we finally got to see the first episode of Archer and it was worth the wait. Had that same great style of humor we loved from Sealab 2021 and Frisky Dingo along with great looking artwork and improved animation. We're all even more excited now. The exact date for the official start of the show still hasn't been announced, but it's going to be sometime in January. FX put the Official Archer page up today. Be sure to check it out. They also finally have the production blog up that we had mentioned, so that we can keep track of their antics while we wait for the premiere. And finally, they have a twitter set up as well. Make sure to get the word out about the show! We want it to be a success and have a nice long run beyond the initial 6 eps.

We put together a last min chat for the show last night in our chat room which turned out to have more people than expected for such little notice. We had a good time. My apologies to anyone that used the actual site chat link instead of the one in the post about the premiere. I had temporarily switched it to the AS central chat a few weeks back and completely forgot to switch it back. Consider this the official re-launch of the #Babarshouse channel. Hopefully once the series starts up we can set up some chats where the guys from the show will join us like we used to for Frisky Dingo.

Finally, I'm still working on changes for the site to feature not only Frisky Dingo, but Archer and Sealab 2021 as well. Got some pretty cool stuff planned that should all be up before January, so keep checking back. This is just the tip ;)

LOS ANGELES, July 13, 2009 – FX has ordered six episodes of Archer (working title), a new half-hour animated comedy series from Adam Reed that the network will launch this fall, announced Nick Grad, Executive Vice President, Original Programming, FX.

Archer is an animated half-hour comedy set at ISIS, an international spy agency, where global crises are merely opportunities for its highly trained employees to confuse, undermine, betray and royally screw each other. The series features the voices of Jon Benjamin as suave master spy “Sterling Archer,” whose less-than-masculine code name is "Duchess”; Jessica Walter as his domineering mother and boss, “Malory”; Aisha Tyler as his ex-girlfriend, “Agent Lana Kane”; Chris Parnell as ISIS comptroller and Lana’s new love interest, “Cyril Figgis”; and Judy Greer as Malory’s lovesick secretary, “Cheryl.”

“This project has been a great surprise for us and we’re excited about adding it to our fall schedule,” said Grad. “Adam Reed has written successful animated series for Adult Swim/Cartoon Network, and he has taken this format and given it a live-action feel. It is a smart, adult comedy and the characters are given voice by a terrific cast. It clearly fits the FX brand and we believe it will find support from the fans of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia.”

Produced by FX Productions, Archer was created by Adam Reed & Floyd County Productions. Reed previously co-created, with Matt Thompson, the animated series Frisky Dingo and Sealab 2021.

Jon Benjamin has amassed a number of voice credits on animated series including Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and most recently as “Carl” on Family Guy. A longtime veteran of Saturday Night Live, Chris Parnell is enjoying a successful run in film (Anchorman) and television (30 Rock). Aisha Tyler’s television comedy credits include Friends and Reno 911! Judy Greer’s comedy turns include It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Arrested Development, Two and a Half Men and My Name Is Earl. Jessica Walter earned an Emmy® nomination for her role as “Lucille Bluth” in the Emmy Award winning comedy Arrested Development and she is reprising the role for the feature film adaptation of the series.

Finally some good news!

It appears as though "Duchess", the new show that the guys have been working on for months now, has been picked up by FX. We don't have any more details than that at the moment, but they are going to let us know more once they get the ok to do so. After all the waiting, I'm sure everyone will be happy to know at least this much.

Yeah, I'm getting slow with the updates but things are going to be picking up again.

First off, Frisky Dingo reruns are now on the Friday night adult swim line-up at 1:30 am and will be followed by Sealab. Hopefully that will stick around for a while.

How about the new show? Well, we've been aware for a few months now that Adam Reed formed a new company with most of the 70-30 crew after they left the Adult Swim scene and that they began production on a new animated show for FX. Last week the name of the show got leaked... I was going to avoid making a deal out of it, but the cat's outta the bag now so may as well mention it. The name of the show is "Duchess". That's all we know for now, they want to keep the details quiet while they work on the pilot and I'm going to respect that and not bug them about it. They'll let us know more when they are ready to.

I recently did all the html work for the new website of one of the animators, Eric Sims. He does have a few of the backgrounds from the new show in his gallery. They are nicely done and give a little taste of the style of artwork that will be on the show. You can check them out here --> ericsims.com

Finally, look for some changes to this site in the near future. I'm going to be changing things up a bit and expanding the site to encompass all the animated work related to Adam, Matt and co. Not just for Duchess, but I plan on adding Sealab content eventually as well, so be sure to keep checking back.
